Perplexity is looking for a Lead Product Designer to own the design of our enterprise product. You'll design new experiences across enterprise and multiplayer use cases — making software that feels like the future but can be understood and used by anyone in the world today. These surfaces are net-new and, in many cases, unprecedented. You'll be building them 0→1, which means bringing deep knowledge of how enterprise software actually works: organizational and seat management, and deeply nuanced role-based experiences that account for workplace policy, compliance, administrative management, privacy, permissions, and security. You'll ship features that balance well-established UI paradigms with novel applications of AI, working independently and strategically to find both the problems worth solving and the solutions worth shipping.Good design that nobody gets to use is wasted, so you'll optimize for getting great software into customers' hands and learning from real usage. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and the broader design team, and you care about everything it takes to make a product great: product, interaction, brand, growth, copywriting, engineering, and marketing. What you'll doDesign net-new, 0→1 enterprise surfaces across enterprise and general multiplayer use casesDesign for the realities of enterprise software: organizational management, seat management, admin controls, permissions, privacy, security, and complianceCraft deeply nuanced role-based experiences that adapt to workplace policy and different levels of access and responsibilityShip features that balance well-established UI paradigms with novel applications of AIMake software that feels like the future but can be used and understood by anyone in the world todayWork independently and strategically — finding the problems and the solutionsOwn work end-to-end, from 0→1 product design through large-scale optimizationContribute to process so we're always shipping changes you're proud of, as often as possiblePartner with brand design to ensure the enterprise product is not only useful but memorableWhat we're looking forExperience designing enterprise, consumer, or prosumer productsDeep knowledge of enterprise software: organizational and seat management, role-based access, admin management, permissions, privacy, security, and complianceExperience designing non-deterministic tools used by large workplace cohorts — eg.Figma, Slack, Ramp, AirtableComfortable thinking about both 0→1 product design and large-scale optimizationExcellent visual, UI, and interaction skillsAn excellent communicator with team members and usersComfort prototyping or coding your ideasYou care about shipping great software more than anything else5+ years of industry experienceNice to haveSome of our design team writes production code — we welcome existing skills or interest in coding with React or SwiftUI
