In this role, which has been elevated to meet the demands of our next phase of global growth, you will completely own the financial strategy, capital allocation, and budgeting for approximately half of our G&amp;A footprint.</p><p>The ideal candidate is a high-performing strategic thinker who can effortlessly blend rigorous financial engineering with executive-level storytelling. If you are analytical, proactive, and eager to grow into a trusted advisor in a rapidly evolving technological landscape, this is your opportunity to make a real impact..</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul><li><strong>Partner directly with executive leadership</strong> (CFO, CAO, CIO) to translate complex operational decision-making and technological roadmaps into rigorous financial plans, budgets, and headcount allocation strategies.</li><li><strong>Design, automate, and implement</strong> repeatable forecasting processes leveraging AI to replace manual efforts and optimize efficiency as the business scales.</li><li><strong>Build, maintain, and stress-test</strong> sophisticated financial models to guide capital allocation decisions and evaluate major enterprise vendor investments.</li><li><strong>Deliver boardroom-ready monthly financial reporting</strong>, flux analyses, and variance commentary that proactively explain business drivers and outline concrete, strategic next steps for leadership.</li><li><strong>Collaborate deeply</strong> with the Accounting organization during month-end close to ensure flawless data integrity, reporting accuracy, and corporate compliance across your coverage areas.</li><li><strong>Coordinate cross-functionally</strong> to ensure a unified approach to Cloudflare's annual and long-range operating plans.</li><li><strong>Design and implement scalable, automated workflows</strong> and repeatable processes that support our rapid global growth.</li><li><strong>Contribute to long-range planning</strong> and annual operating plan development for G&amp;A functions, tracking industry trends to maintain market competitiveness.</li></ul><h2>Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience</h2><ul><li><strong>7-8+ years of progressive corporate finance experience</strong> in FP&amp;A, strategic finance, corporate development, or a closely related analytical field.</li><li><strong>Proven background working within public SaaS</strong> or multinational corporate environments, demonstrating a deep understanding of SaaS metrics and corporate infrastructure costs.</li><li><strong>Advanced financial modeling</strong> and data manipulation capabilities within Excel or Google Sheets, with a history of building complex, flexible models from scratch.</li><li><strong>Strong operational mindset </strong>with a passion for process optimization, automation, and scale within an AI-assisted corporate ecosystem.</li><li><strong>Exceptional verbal and written communication skills</strong>, with a demonstrated ability to challenge senior leaders constructively and distill dense financial data into crisp executive narratives.</li><li><strong>A proven track record of absolute autonomy</strong>, showing the ability to successfully drive projects, write playbooks, and establish structure in ambiguous situations.</li><li><strong>Intellectually curious</strong> with a problem-solving orientation—ability to break down complex issues and build automated, data-driven solutions.</li><li><strong>Bachelor’s degree</strong> in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.</li></ul><h2>Bonus Points</h2><ul><li>Hands-on proficiency navigating and building within enterprise platforms such as Anaplan, Oracle, and Workday.</li><li>An MBA, CPA, or CFA designation is a distinct plus.</li></ul><h2>Compensation</h2><p>Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location.</p><ul><li>For San Francisco Bay Area based hires: Estimated annual salary of $154,000 - $211,000.</li><li>For Washington based hires: Estimated annual salary of $147,000 - $202,000.</li><li>For Colorado based hires: Estimated annual salary of $134,000 - $184,000.</li></ul><h3>Equity</h3><p>This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan.</p><h3>Benefits</h3><p>Cloudflare offers a complete package of benefits and programs to support you and your family.&nbsp;
